AI in Action: Real-World Applications for Integrators in the AV Industry

AI is not just a theoretical concept; forward-thinking integrators are actively implementing it today to enhance operations, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive growth. To delve into this transformative phenomenon, we sat down with integrators leveraging AI for their business to showcase real-world examples and applications.

Lelch Audio Video

Alex Lelchuk, founder of Lelch Audio Video, shares how his business currently harnesses AI in the AV industry. He highlights specific tools and software they use, resulting in improved efficiency and successful hiring outcomes. A significant AI application within their business is the utilization of ChatGPT to create job descriptions and streamline the hiring process. They are also experimenting with AI-powered software to create headshots and simplify tasks like reworking the company’s organizational chart.

According to Alex, the value of AI lies in speed, efficiency, and enhanced content quality. He sees AI as a tool that allows his team to focus on more impactful aspects of the business while eliminating tedious and time-consuming tasks. Moreover, AI assists in bringing important matters to the forefront that would otherwise be sidelined, thus optimizing their workflow.

Alex encourages integrators to stay abreast of the latest developments and experiment with AI applications. He foresees significant opportunities for AI integration in the AV industry’s internal software, especially in proposal creation and design aspects. “AI is not a job replacement but an ability to focus more on things that impact your business or that you want to do in your life more. It removes some tedious and time-consuming stuff, making life easier,” Alex told us.

Spire Integrated Systems

Navot Shoresh, the founder and CVO of Spire Integrated Systems, discussed the extensive use of AI to enhance various aspects of their operations. Embracing a comprehensive AI strategy, his company has already implemented AI tools in different parts of its work. One primary application is improving internal and external communication using AI to enhance email writing and internal messaging.

Navot, dealing with dyslexia, highlights how AI helps him produce more precise and error-free content. “It’s like having somebody when you can’t read and need glasses. With dyslexia, my entire world has all these opinions, and I cannot write them down. Now, I can express myself, share more, and write about things the industry needs to know.”

Spire Integrated Systems also utilizes AI-powered training videos to equip employees with essential knowledge. Moreover, AI assists in creative tasks, like enabling visualizations of media rooms for clients. He encourages integrators to adopt AI tools to stay competitive and enhance the customer experience, “The world moves too fast right now for you to ignore these tools. If you still need to start using AI, you’re behind. The gap is growing faster and faster by the day,” says Navot.

Paul Foley, CEO of Hermary’s, has simple advice for integrators about AI: “Dive into it; that’s what you should do.” Foley’s perspective sheds light on AI’s significant advantages to the AV industry. He’s confident that by embracing AI-driven solutions, businesses can optimize their operations, enhance accuracy, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

At Hermary’s, the company has harnessed the potential of AI to streamline its operations and processes through Cody AI, an intelligent assistant trained in Hermary’s knowledge base. This cutting-edge solution enables the automation of repetitive tasks, including uploading manuals and managing documentation with remarkable efficiency. “It saves time and ensures consistency in our operations, creating a more seamless workflow,” Foley told us.

“As much as we rely on human expertise, errors are inevitable. However, with AI in place, we can substantially reduce the occurrence of human errors. This, in turn, boosts customer satisfaction, as they can rely on our solutions without worrying about potential mishaps,” claims Foley. Notably, AI’s implementation results in significant time savings and ensures heightened consistency in their operations, ultimately leading to a more seamless workflow.

As AI continues to evolve, the AV industry must embrace this transformative technology and harness its power to captivate, engage, and inspire audiences like never before. By doing so, we can unleash a new era of innovation, where creativity and technology merge seamlessly, forging a path toward a future that surpasses our wildest imaginations.

Integrating AI into the AV industry is no longer a distant dream; it’s our reality. Embracing AI is necessary to stay relevant and competitive in today’s fast-paced business landscape.

To embark on this exciting journey, the advice from experienced integrators is simple: JUST DO IT. Don’t be daunted by the complexities; start exploring AI applications, integrating smart technologies, and collaborating with experts in the field. The time is ripe, the possibilities are endless, and the rewards are beyond measure.
