Italian Smart Design Keypad company, Black Nova, has established an exclusive distribution agreement with the LUMI Group, LP for the distribution of Black Nova products in North, South and Central America. Well-established in the EMEA markets, including the Middle East and Asia, Black Nova’s portfolio has roots in the hospitality market. Its products have been used/installed in more than 20,000 luxury hotel rooms.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Black Nova Americas is a newly established company, providing turnkey support for the North, South and Central America markets. Lumi Group’s new 10,000 sq. ft. Northern California facility will stock inventory, provide engraving and assembly of the keypads.
Black Nova develops and produces smart keypads and touch panels, with design top of mind. According to the company, its Black Nova Collections “are designed with bold personality and obsessive attention to every single detail” for an optimal user experience. There are three categories:
ARIA®: Defined by straight lines, simple shapes, vivid colors, and glass surfaces.
ALBA®: Features large, easy-to-use buttons with engraved icons and text that are flush with the design frame, creating a smooth surface. Available in 2-, 4-, and 8-button configurations, and in metal or glass finishes.
ANY®: Touch panels combine “striking” design with an intuitive user interface. They include the latest sensors, including proximity, gesture, ambient light, color, and temperature.
The Black Nova keypads connect with a wide range of third-party systems. They are fully Crestron Home-ready (with a dedicated Crestron chip on board) and are compatible with a growing range of third-party control systems, including Control4, Lutron and KNX.
Additionally, the Black Nova smart gateway, NOVA Hub, supports most third-party devices and popular communication protocols, including KNX, ZigBee, ZWave, and RS485.
