The award-winning control and automation manufacturer RTI has partnered with the Milan-based smart technology and design company Black Nova to integrate smart design keypads. The new keypads showcase Black Nova’s signature elegance in their design and exhibit RTI’s intuitive, powerful control in their function.
Through this integration, an RTI system can also dynamically set the backlight LED state and color on the keypad. The Black Nova ALBA, ARIA, Black Jack, and AXES series keypads can now be configured to control and monitor any device connected to an RTI processor, like an HVAC system. All manner of button combinations are supported by Black Nova on the new driver. It can control lighting, climate, and more, along with separate functions for Press, Hold, and Release capabilities for each button on the keypad.
Now that the integration has been announced, adopters can get the best of both worlds. “For luxury residential, hotel, and commercial installations where the sophisticated design of the Black Nova keypad is an obvious benefit, they can still enjoy the intuitive and fully customized experience that the RTI system delivers,” said Neal Ellsworth, Director of Product Management at RTI.
Black Nova CEO Olav Beruto says of the collaboration with RTI, “Dealers have been requesting this RTI integration so they can match the incomparable aesthetic of the Black Nova switches with the level of advanced automation enabled by RTI.”
