RTI today announced the appointment of Joe Roberts as CEO succeeding interim CEO Mark Derus who served in the role for the past four months. Roberts will be expected to lead RTI through initiatives that will expand the RTI control platform with unique solutions for global resimercial customers. Derus, on the other hand, will be returning to business as usual in his role as CFO.

Roberts brings over 20 years of global experience to the CEO position. His work was highlighted across several companies including Core Brands where he acted as president and led a massive turnaround. Roberts was a key component in the merger with Nortek Security & Control, and his product portfolio earned him sevear awards across multiple categories. During his time at Core Brands and then Nortek, Roberts and his team were presented with coveted awards including top dealer program, human interface of the year, customer service awards, and best product awards across multiple categories.
The C-level executive and product visionary has also held executive level, general management, and senior marketing positions at The Learning Company, Broderbund, Corel, eLanguage, and others. Roberts is recognized in the industry for his customer focus, product innovation, and delivery.
