At Savant’s recent 14th annual Integrator Summit in Vegas during the International Builders’ Show (IBS), its CEO and founder, Robert Madonna (shown in photo), shared highlights of a 2020 product roadmap as well as new strategic partnerships. The event also included over 25 live product demos and breakout education sessions, while providing attendees time at IBS to learn about the latest in residential building technology.

On the heels of hundreds of Savant 2019 product intros and 400-plus partner product intros, the 2020 conference, according to Savant, focused on continued innovation across all categories, including emerging categories such as lighting, energy automation and wireless high-resolution digital audio, plus enhanced partnerships across the smart home marketplace. Additions to Savant’s Partners in Excellence Program include an enhanced relationship with NETGEAR, Kohler’s Robern brand of premium vanities featuring tunable LED lighting, and full integration with Ring’s new X Line.

Ring’s Siminoff

Ring Founder and Chief Inventor Jamie Siminoff was on hand. He highlighted Savant’s partnership integration with Ring, together with the newly unveiled Ring X Line. Savant plans to deliver the Ring Video Doorbell experience within its smart home ecosystem, and Savant says that integrators can expect to see Ring features such as a live view of Ring video, notifications and two-way audio later in 2020. Along with this product integration, Savant will offer the newly announced Ring X Line of hardware for sale through the Savant Store. To be available in March, it will have features designed specifically for the CI channel, says Savant. Initially, the Ring X Line will consist of seven devices across the entry and camera categories.

It was also announced that Savant has enhanced an existing partnership with network products and services provider NETGEAR to offer the full suite of the company’s networking solutions to technology integrators. This exclusive arrangement will enable integrators to offer networking capabilities along with exclusive, co-engineered solutions for the CI market, according to Savant, that are optimized for the Savant smart home ecosystem, streamlining design, installation and service processes. Through this partnership, integrators will gain access to 24/7 system design and support services, increasing job site efficiency, Savant says.
