Ring has announced the new Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, in keeping with its mission to make neighborhoods safer. According to the company, it is its most advanced outdoor security camera, equipped with 3D Motion Detection with radar and Bird’s Eye View.

The new Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro builds upon the features of the Ring Floodlight Cam to monitor outdoor spaces with motion-activated LED lights and HD video.

Jamie Siminoff, Ring’s Founder and Chief Inventor, said in a statement: “By expanding our 3D Motion Detection technology and Bird’s Eye View to Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, we’re giving customers greater insight about what’s taking place on their property for additional peace of mind.”

In addition to 3D Motion Detection and Bird’s Eye View, the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro features include:

  • Audio+ for enhanced audio and echo cancellation
  • Customizable Motion Zones and Privacy Zones
  • Video End-to-End Encryption
  • 110db siren
  • Color night vision
  • 2000 lumens

The new product can be hardwired to the outside of the home and connected to Wi-Fi. Homeowners can also use their mobile or Alexa-enabled devices to view their property from anywhere as well as see and speak with visitors in real-time.

With the expansion of 3D Motion Detection technology to the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, homeowners have more control to customize which areas of their property to monitor by selecting distance thresholds. The radar sensor determines when an object crosses the distance threshold by measuring its specific distance from the camera, and the camera only activates once that threshold is crossed, sending homeowners a motion alert.

Powered by 3D Motion Detection, Bird’s Eye View provides an aerial map view of the motion events in front of the floodlight camera for a clear view of visitors’ path, a feature also available on the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2.

Bird’s Eye View shows an individual’s path once he/she crosses the selected threshold, but before a motion alert is sent, giving the homeowner a more complete understanding of the videos from each device in the Ring app.
