On July 27, smart technology manufacturer and distributor Snap One announced its Control4 Halo Touch handheld remote is available for shipping worldwide. The Halo Touch remote is the second in the Halo line, following the original Halo remote released in January 2023.

“With the Halo Touch, users are treated to a premium experience that offers all the latest control methods including voice commands and a bright, easy-to-use touchscreen,” said Eric Fritz, Director of Product Management – Control.

Halo Touch Specifications

The new remote allows users to easily and reliably manage their Control4 system through a customizable 3.2-inch color touchscreen with a graphical interface. Other features include backlit buttons, push-to-talk control and dual-band Wi-Fi support. The Halo Touch is also machine-constructed out of aluminum, ensuring long-lasting performance and durability.

Snap One solicited input from its partners when designing the Control 4 Halo remotes, adding new features while maintaining the signature aesthetic of its popular Neeo Remote. Halo Touch includes easy access to OS3 favorites like Media Content, Comfort Controls, Lighting Scenes, and other experiences.

The Halo Touch remote also enables rapid control of TV experiences through Watch With Voice, delivers more responsive audio experiences with a Recently Played function, and provides full control for the new Control4 Vibrant Linear Lighting Line and other color-control features and products.

With an upgraded dual-band Wi-Fi antenna to support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, Halo Touch improves reliability with up to five times stronger connections than previous models.

The new Voice button on the Halo Touch lets Control4 capture the user’s command through an embedded microphone, dynamically routing to voice service via the latest proprietary technology.

Benefits of Worldwide Availability

The wide availability of Halo Touch gives Snap One partners a prime upsell opportunity. Users can install and add the remote themselves via the Control4 app, allowing immediate use. This also allows partners to sell and ship Halo Touch sans site visit, enabling rapid upgrades and simplifying the process for more distant clients.

“What’s more, we designed Halo remote hardware to support future upgrades, so the remotes will get even more powerful and valuable over time as we integrate new features,” continued Fritz.
