Sonance, global industry leader in architectural audio, has quickly implemented the next phase in their new direct residential sales structure for sales in Canada. The US-based company has named several new rep partners with plans to fill the remaining openings in the coming days and weeks. Since the initial announcement to move Canada sales from a distributor structure to direct back in December, Sonance and its family of brands which includes IPORT, James Loudspeaker, and TRUFIG, wasted no time in searching for and securing their preferred rep firm candidates in strategic regions across Canada.

“We had a lot of interest come pouring in from all over the country,” stated Brad Middleton, Sonance National Sales Manager for Canada. “We knew we had to be prepared to move quickly so that sales for our customers could continue smoothly.”

The company has qualified and onboarded five representative firms for Canada in the first week and a half since kicking off the new sales model. Each rep company comes to Sonance with a proven success and reputation for their respective territory, many with a focus on strategic categories within the residential channel, including lighting, automation, and audio. Having shown an alignment with the Sonance Designed to Disappear philosophy, each new Sonance rep for Canada shows promise to make a significant impact for the brand.

“The FLUX team is incredibly excited about representing such an innovative company like Sonance,” Mara Klammrodt, Principal for Flux Lighting, new rep partner for Ottawa, had to say about partnering with the company. “We have always believed that our clients and dealers deserve solutions that are design-forward. It is what we find really appealing about the Sonance brands. Their products and solutions are just what we need to round out our offering and enable us to give clients everything they need to complete their homes. We are excited to be a part of such an incredible team.”

Sonance has welcomed Flux Lighting, as well as residential rep agencies 5 Element, Adanac Sales, Contact Delage, and The Press Agency. Sonance is still onboarding upcoming residential rep agencies in the remaining territories but are excited to begin growing business with their newly onboarded partners.

Sonance has maintained their sales format for the commercial channel in Canada, managing all commercial Canada sales through their long-standing partnership with SC Media
