A/V and integration buying group, ProSource, has announced that its new Lighting Technology and Learning Center will feature a Vantage end-to-end human-centric lighting (HCL) system, a winner in Connected Design’s 2020 Design Awards Program, with load control provided by the DMX-DALI-GATEWAY and InFusion Controller II for precise dimming of WAC Aether Series light fixtures.

On Tuesday, March 23, there will be a ceremonial ribbon-cutting to officially open The Learning Center. This date also marks the beginning of the Lightovation trade show. At 10 am CST, ProSource President and CEO, David Workman, will kick off the opening festivities. The show runs through March 26.

The Learning Center, designed by David Warfel and Mark Langston, from Light Can Help You, gives dealers information about Vantage and the latest lighting technology, highlighting integration for a cohesive HCL system.

The new Learning Center will demonstrate how Vantage integrates with lighting fixtures and third-party platforms as well as how the Vantage controller can determine the center’s longitude and latitude, allowing it to automatically calculate sunrise and sunset times. Additionally, it can automatically set the lighting schedule accordingly to replicate the ideal conditions of daylight based on color tone and intensity throughout the day.

In the future, the Learning Center will be available for hands-on, live Level 2 curriculum of the ProSource Lighting Technology Certification program, which launched earlier this year through ProSource University.

Charlie Derk, Director of Product Marketing, Shading and Residential Controls, Legrand North and Central America, explains that visitors are able to interact with the Vantage HCL system using the Equinox 41 glass LCD touchscreen controller and the EasyTouch Glass modular keypad station. Features include easy transition between five pre-programmed natural light scenes: Daylight Sync, Sunrise, Midday, Night Light, and Solar Cycle.

The customized Lighting Technology and Learning Center will feature multiple residential rooms showcasing smart home systems and devices.
